Admissions – PGY3 Emergency Medicine
PGY3 Emergency Medicine residency training is offered to Family Medicine residents seeking additional specialty skills by the Northern Ontario School of Medicine. Application Process
Please be advised that the Northern Ontario School of Medicine participates in the Canadian Resident Matching Service (CaRMS) Family Medicine/Emergency Medicine Match (FM/EM), and those who wish to apply to the PGY3 Emergency Medicine program are required to apply/participate in the CaRMS FM/EM Match.

September 13, 2016
The selection process begins. Applicants are now able to start choosing which programs they wish to apply to and can begin submitting any requested/supporting documents.
September 27, 2016
Applications must be submitted no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) ET. The program will begin to review applicant files on this date and any applications submitted after this deadline will NOT be considered by the program.
October 6, 2016
Any supporting documents that arrive after file review has opened on September 29 will be accepted until October 6, 2016.
October 14, 2016
Invitations to interview will be sent out by this date. Please be advised that the program will only notify applicants who are selected for an interview.
November 7, 2016 (Thunder Bay), November 14, 2016 (Sudbury)
Interviews will be offered in Sudbury and Thunder Bay on a first come first served basis (applicants need only participate in one interview). Please note that the site of the interview does not influence your preferred site for residency position.

The ranking period will take place from November 15 (12:00 p.m. noon ET) – December 5, 2016 (3:00 p.m. ET). All applicants must submit their rank order list by this firm deadline.
