Financial Aid Impact on Government Funding
All learners receiving scholarships, research awards, external awards, sponsorship, or tuition waivers are responsible to declare this financial assistance through their provincial funding application. Reporting anticipated these categories of financial aid is mandatory, failure to do so may impact funding eligibility including but not limited to grants to loan conversion within the study period, or immediate repayment. Reporting the value of the financial assistance is important to complete during the initial application process as it may impact your funding assessment.
All learners receiving NOSM University donor funded bursaries, General bursaries, TSA funded Bursaries, the Final Year Medical School Bursary, or OSAP Indigenous Student Bursary are NOT required to report these through their Provincial funding application. The Financial Aid Office reports these financial assistance programs directly to the Ministry annually.
