Children’s Treatments Centres provide a broad range of services and supports to children and youth with special needs from birth to 19 years of age and their families. One Kids Place was established in North Bay in 2005 through the integration of existing services including: Muskoka Parry Sound Preschool Speech, Nipissing Timiskaming Preschool Speech, Children’s Rehabilitation Services and Integrated Services for Northern Children- Nippissing, Muskoka and Parry Sound. Interdisciplinary services are provided with the majority of services for preschool children.with neurological disorders and developmental and sensory delays. The Algoma Health Unit, Communication Disorders Services operates on an out-patient basis primarily in the fields of physical, mental, emotional, and social health. The primary goals of the Algoma Health Unit include disease prevention, reduction of risk to toxic substance/conditions in the home, public or work place. The CRC Algoma provides programs and services to children and young people to age 19 with long term disabilities.
