This list of restrictions is updated with the most current information provided by our communities and is subject to change. Please continue to keep track of the restrictions within the communities in which your placement is confirmed.

|5||Sault Ste Marie||SAH||01/03/2021||Medical Students:
Arriving from outside or returning from travel outside of Algoma District you will be required to quarantine for 14 days upon arrival, travel or close contact with visitors from outside Algoma. Quarantine for 14 days in current location prior to travel to Algoma district will also be acceptable. No clinical work will be available during quarantine time unless you are able to work from home.
Arriving from outside Algoma District NO quarantine required. |6||Sioux Lookout||Sioux Lookout Hospital||18/12/2020||Physicians are requested to self-isolate as much as possible up to two weeks prior to their arrival in Sioux Lookout. Physicians working in a setting, where during the past two weeks there has been a COVID-19 case and covering more than two shifts, are required to be tested up to a week prior to or on arrival in Sioux Lookout. They may start clinical work while the results are pending. IMPORTANT: Learners who are coming from red or orange zones please contact Dr. Bollinger to discuss whether the safety requirements for the placement 3 weeks prior to the rotation (including all visiting learners).|
|7||Thunder Bay||St. Joseph's Care Group||24/12/2020||St. Joseph's Care Group is implementing traveling restrictions for any learners travelling from outisde of Nortwestern Ontario will need to self-isolate for 14 days before entering SJCG.|
|8||Thunder Bay||TBRHSC||04/01/2021||TBRHSC is implementing travel restrictions where any electives coming to northwestern Ontario will need to self-isolate for 7 days upon arrival. There are some caveats: 1) Any elective coming from within Northern Ontario, TBRHSC will offer a COVID swab instead of imposing the isolation period. Must isolate until result come back; 2) Any elective coming from outside of NOSM Catchment area will need to perform a mandatory 7 day isolation before starting; 3) if there is any travel outside of Thunder Bay for the holidays, a 7 day isolation period is mandatory. All learners must wear a procedure mask at TBRHSC - Cloth masks are no longer allowed. During the lockdown, TBRHSC is requiring students who travelled outside of Ontario from December 26 - January 9 to self-isolate for 14 days prior to entering the hospital. If the provincewide shutdown ends on January 9 for Northern Ontario, the out-of-province isolation requirement is anticipated to be removed by the hospital at that time.|
|9||Smooth Rock Falls||08/01/2021||Smooth Rock Falls hospital that has advised of the following requirements prior to placements in their community: -must have a covid test completed prior to arrival in the community -must not work in any other healthcare facility 14 days prior to their arrival in the community.|
