NOSM University alumnus named Assistant Dean, Resident Affairs

NOSM University’s new Assistant Dean, Resident Affairs completed both his MD and residency training in Sudbury. Dr. Sean Sullivan has been practising as a broad-scope family physician with special interests in medical education, physician and learner wellness, and 2SLGBTQ+ health. An Associate Professor at NOSM University, Dr. Sullivan is an active teacher and preceptor of medical students and residents and is a primary preceptor for the family medicine program. NOSM University researchers awarded $1.5 million to study health effects of low-dose radiation

NOSM University researchers and partners have been awarded a prestigious Alliance grant from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), valued at $1.5 million over five years. The grant will fund several highly specialized projects. These include constructing a custom experimental chamber, designed specifically for studying the respiratory effects of low-level radon gas exposure. Radon is a naturally occurring radioactive gas found in the air we breathe, and the biological effects of long-term low dose exposures remain unknown. NOSM University’s Dr. Erin Cameron awarded national Fellowship in Compassion and Artificial Intelligence

Dr. Erin Cameron, Academic Director of NOSM University’s Dr. Gilles Arcand Centre for Health Equity, has been awarded a prestigious Fellowship in Compassion and Artificial Intelligence (AI) by the Associated Medical Services (AMS) Healthcare.
