Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) and Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST) Guidelines

The Ontario Graduate Scholarship (OGS) program is a merit-based scholarship available to graduate students at publicly-assisted universities in Ontario. Since 1975, the OGS program has been providing scholarships to Ontario’s graduate students in all disciplines of academic study.  The OGS program also administers Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology (QEII-GSST), a merit-based scholarship awarded to full-time students in science and technology related programs. The province allocates OGS and QEII-GSST awards to universities specifying the number of awards that each may offer to their students annually.

OGS/QEII-GSST Eligibility Criteria

Citizenship

Domestic applicants must be a Canadian citizen, Permanent Resident, or Protected Person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada)

Eligibility averages are calculated using grades from the most recent academic history, regardless of program or relevance to the applicant’s current or proposed program. Only grades from recognized post-secondary degree programs can be used to evaluate GPAs: college diplomas or other certificates will not be used to evaluate your qualifying GPA.
