Learning Objectives
At the end of this session participants will be able to:
- Apply the basic principles of relational practice to build trust with LGBTQIA+ people and communities (focus on self-reflection, being comfortable with being uncomfortable, and specific LGBTQIA+ context in palliative care)
- Utilize the basic principles of cultural safety and discuss how they apply to LGBTQIA+ clients and families (focus on relations of power, humility, assumptions/stereotypes, shared decision making, and learning from the LGBTQIA+ community)
