Call for Master of Medical Studies Supervisors – CLOSED

Open from September 22, 2021 – October 29, 2021

The Master of Medical Studies (MMS) program at NOSM is interested in identifying Faculty members who would like to become a graduate student supervisor.

The purpose of the MMS is to provide foundational research skills for physicians who want to develop a robust approach to answering health care questions. The goal is for learners to focus on health care problems in the north to improve the health status of all people in northern, rural, and remote communities.

The MMS program uses an asynchronous model to deliver course material and for students to complete the program. While many of the students enrolled in the MMS will be in Northern Ontario, we expect that some will be from other parts of Canada or other countries. There is therefore an opportunity to supervise students directly or remotely.

In order to become a supervisor for NOSM’s Graduate Studies programs such as the MMS, you must have:

1. a NOSM Faculty appointment,
2. a PhD and/or a MD degree and,
3. demonstrate research and supervisory experience, within the past four years.

If you are interested in applying, please submit the following information to graduatestudies@nosm.ca by October 29, 2021:
