Rural Acute Medicine Symposium – Registration Open!
Join us in beautiful Timmins, Ontario, on February 27-28, 2026 for two half-days of engaging sessions designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of healthcare professionals working in rural and remote acute care. To complete the experience, participants will also enjoy a northern winter activity—striking the perfect balance of work and play!
Symposium Objectives
At the end of this event participants will be able to:
- Apply current evidence-based approaches to the diagnosis and management of common acute medical conditions in rural and community hospital settings. (CanMEDS Roles: Medical Expert)
- Recognize system challenges unique to rural acute care delivery and implement strategies to improve efficiency, safety, and interprofessional teamwork. (CanMEDS Roles: Leader, Collaborator)
Throughout the symposium interactivity will be achieved through the Q&A portion of each session.
