NOSM University’s Sudbury Campus To Remain Closed on Wednesday, March 18, 2026
The Significant Weather Event for Sudbury has ended; however, city crews continue to clear roadways, prioritizing main arteries and routes that support emergency access. Local and residential streets are being addressed as conditions permit. Crews at Laurentian University have been working continuously but are not expected to complete snow clearing until later tomorrow. Given the ongoing transportation challenges, and continuing maintenance of NOSM U’s parking and walkway/entrance areas, the Sudbury Campus will remain closed on Wednesday, March 18th. Greater Sudbury remains under a Significant Weather Event. City crews are continuing to clear roads, with priority on main arteries and routes that support emergency access. Local and residential streets will be addressed as conditions allow. Furthermore, members of the community are being asked to avoid unnecessary travel. Given the transportation challenges, and the parking lot adjacent to NOSM University still requires maintenance, it is recommended that NOSM University's Sudbury campus remain closed on Tuesday, March 17th.
