Previous NHRCs (2006-2019)

2019 — Little Current, Manitoulin Island

The 14th annual NHRC was held on Manitoulin Island. We were pleased to be hosting in Little Current, in the beautiful Northeastern Manitoulin Islands. On behalf of NOSM, we acknowledge that this is the Traditional Ojibway territory of the Aundeck Omni Kaning First Nation. This conference is an opportunity to focus on uniquely northern, best-practice research that is relevant and appropriate to the North.

2018 — Kenora

The 13th annual Northern Health Research Conference was held in Kenora, Ontario. This was a special year as it was Dr. Roger Strasser’s last NHRC as Dean and CEO of NOSM. A new Dr. Roger Strasser Founding Dean NHRC Travel Award was created in his honour to provide funds to support a NOSM leaner to attend future NHRC meetings.
