NOSM and OPSEU Staff Unit Reach Tentative Agreement

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) and the OPSEU Staff Unit are pleased to announce that provincially-mediated talks held on November 1 and 2 in Thunder Bay have resulted in a tentative collective agreement between the two parties early this morning. The deal, which is being recommended by the OPSEU Staff Unit bargaining team, is subject to ratification by the OPSEU Staff Unit’s members, and approval by NOSM’s Board of Directors. NOSM and OPSEU Staff Unit Heading Back to Table with Provincially-Appointed Mediator

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) and the OPSEU Staff Unit have agreed to resume bargaining November 1, 2010 in Thunder Bay. The negotiations will be assisted by a provincially-appointed mediator. The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) is disappointed that the OPSEU Staff Unit members rejected the tentative collective agreement that was mutually agreed to by NOSM and the OPSEU Staff Unit negotiating teams earlier this month.
