U.S. Nursing: Imperialism, health & medicine in 20th-century Iran

The Northern Ontario History of Health and Medicine Group links students, faculty, researchers, practitioners, staff and interested individuals from across the North and beyond from a range of disciplines/ professions. It is open to the public.

Dr. Lydia Wytenbroek (PhD, BSN), faculty UBC Nursing, is an historian of health and medicine. Her research interests include the histories of American nursing imperialism in the Middle East, medical racism, perioperative nursing in Canada, nursing technological innovation, and the politics of health care.
