Welcome to the Northeastern Ontario Palliative Care Conference 2026! This year, we bring you a bigger and better hybrid conference, as a result of the collaboration between the NOSM University Palliative Care SPC, and NNPCN-PCIEF Nipissing sub-region.
Abstract Submission:
Last year we welcomed over 130 participants to our conference which included Physicians, Nurses, Social Workers, Volunteers and Spiritual care providers.
We invite you to share your expertise, innovations, and experiences by submitting an abstract for presentation. This is a unique opportunity to highlight the work being done in rural and northern communities to enhance palliative care.
Your abstract should align with one of the following themes:
- Psycho-social / Wholistic Care
- Clinical Care
- Caregiver Education
- Implementation of Palliative Care
We encourage submissions that showcase practical strategies, research, and initiatives that have made a meaningful impact in the delivery of palliative care. Join us in advancing excellence in palliative care by sharing your story and inspiring others.
Deadline for abstract submission: October 12, 2025
Conference Learning Objectives:
- Discuss the evolving role of palliative care and key advocacy priorities in promoting equitable, person-centred care.
- Examine interprofessional strategies and innovative approaches that strengthen collaboration, improve access, and enhance the quality of palliative care, particularly in rural and remote contexts.
- Identify opportunities and challenges in advancing palliative care across diverse care settings and regions.
