Kids and Concussion: What You Need to Know

In recognition of Rowan’s Day, the Continuing Education and professional Development Office (CEPD) at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and Science North invites coaches, parents, teachers and athletes involved in any recreational sport or play where head injury is a risk to a public education session on concussions.
Participants will learn about concussion prevention, the signs of concussion, when to seek medical attention and steps to return to school and sport. We encourage teams to use this as a practice opportunity, to raise whole team awareness about concussion and gain some knowledge that will help your understanding of Concussion Code of Conduct. Instead of being on the ice, the field, the mats, or in the pool, bring your team to this session!
