Sarah Jacko

Unit Coordinator

Sarah Jacko is from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory, on Manitoulin Island. She graduated from Nipissing University with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology. She worked in the environmental field and later transitioned to working in post-secondary education. Her most previous role being a Post-Secondary Navigator for Wiikwemkoong Board of Education.

Her current role as Unit Coordinator is to perform complex administrative duties that assist with culture, community, and outreach. Some responsibilities include project management, report writing and communication from Indigenous Affairs. She is the main point of contact for learners, staff, & faculty. Sarah is passionate in supporting and advocating for Indigenous learners in their educational pathway.
