Continuing Education & Professional Development at NOSM University

The NOSM University Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD) Office is an accredited CPD provider, and has the authority to grant CPD credits by virtue of having undergone the Accreditation process of the  Committee on Accreditation of Continuing Medical Education (CACME). The CEPD Office is therefore able to certify Mainpro+ activities on behalf of the College of Family Physicians and to accredit Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Section 1, Section 3(Simulation) and Section 3(Self-Assessment) activities on behalf of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

Mission Statement

The Continuing Education and Professional Development (CEPD) Office is dedicated to providing high quality, learner-centered, continuing medical education, faculty development and professional development opportunities.  CEPD educational programming promotes scholarly activity, longitudinal learning, enhances clinical and teaching competencies, and enriches the overall performance of health-care professionals and faculty to better meet the health needs of Northern Ontario.
