The 2026 Community Concierge and Connection Event brings Northern communities and NOSM University learners together to build connections that can support future learning, training, recruitment, and practice opportunities across the North.

Medical students, residents, faculty, community recruiters, and health-care partners are invited to connect, ask questions, and explore what Northern Ontario has to offer.

Participants can meet community recruiters, explore clinical placement opportunities, learn more about communities and future careers, and hear from NOSM University learners and residents about their experiences in the North.

Bring your plus one! Spousal employment can be an important consideration when physicians decide where to practise. This event provides an opportunity for partners to explore employment and community opportunities across Northern Ontario.

The event takes place immediately before the Society of Rural Physicians of Canada Mini Rural and Remote Conference, also at the Valhalla Hotel and Conference Centre on October 24–25.
