As the primary teaching site for NOSM University’s Medical Oncology Residency Program, HSN offers an unparalleled environment for residents to grow into confident, versatile oncologists. Located in Sudbury, Ontario, HSN is the regional cancer centre for Northeastern Ontario. Our center has access to a broad patient population with over:
- 2,500 new oncology patients annually
- 11,600 chemotherapy suite visits
- 18,500 follow-ups each year
There will be additional training opportunities across Northern Ontario in communities such as Sault Ste. Marie and Thunder Bay depending on resident interest. We have partnered with McMaster University for two mandatory training rotations in Hamilton for 1) Sarcoma, Clinical Trials, and Genetics and 2) Gynecologic and CNS malignancies.
