Is climate change really a human health emergency?

Climate change is having a profound impact in Northern Ontario. Challenges with unsafe water, deteriorating ice road access, food insecurity, wildfires, spring flooding and evacuations are worsening and increasing in frequency. The direct impact on community health is very real, so is the need to prepare NOSM learners who study, learn and practice across the North for these realities. Integrating career development and additional student success measures into NOSM’s MD Program

The Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) is proactively looking at implementing and integrating career supports into the core curriculum for all medical students.
