Education Series Sessions

The CAMINO Education Series is an accredited CEPD offering that includes three skills development sessions. These sessions have been developed with an aim to hone the mentoring skills of mentors in collaborative setting, alongside peers who share a passion and commitment to mentorship. The sessions also inform a shared understanding of the role of a mentor and support collective learning.

Content Areas

Session 1. Setting up for Success in Mentoring Session 2. Digging Deeper with Communication Part 1 Session 3. Digging Deeper with Communication Part 2

Learning Objectives:

  • Clarify and describe ways to effectively mentor/coach a colleague.
  • Describe elements required to build a strong alliance.
  • Practice mentorship skills using the GROW model, Reflective listening, and ASK-TELL ASK to structure a conversation
Learning Objectives:

  • Describe ways to effectively mentor/coach a colleague.
  • Practice mentorship skills using OARS and responding to resistance and discord
Learning Objectives:

  • Describe ways to effectively mentor/coach a colleague.
  • Practice mentorship skills using powerful questions, validation, and change strategies
