PROJECT ECHO

Most Wednesday afternoons, NOSM Librarian Jen Dumond can be found at Thunder Bay’s St. Joseph’s Care Group (SJCG) for Project ECHO: Chronic pain and opioid stewardship.

Project ECHO (Extension for Community Health Outcomes) connects primary healthcare providers with expertise and education from colleagues via videoconference. Each session includes a clinical case presentation and a brief didactic presentation on aspects of chronic pain management and opioid stewardship. As a member of the ECHO hub, Jen searches for open access resources that support or supplement the case and didactic presentations from patient and practitioner perspectives.

Upcoming sessions:

Chronic Pain as we age (Geriatric) – Nov. 13, 20, 27 @ 12:00-1:30 *NEW TIME*
