Using a combination of video- and tele-conference connectivity across Northern Ontario, the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM) held a regular meeting of the Board of Directors on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. At the meeting, Board members heard from Kathleen Beatty, NOSM’s Director of Equity and Quality and Ted Bridge, NOSM’s Director of Human Resources about the progress made regarding the School’s strategy to enhance a safe and respectful NOSM community. In addition, the Board received reports from several Board committees, as well as from the School’s Academic Council, Indigenous Reference Group, and Francophone Reference Group.

NOSM’s latest issue of Northern Passages highlights the Open Houses hosted by the School in February, a look at NOSM’s upcoming Health Sciences Summer Camps, a « behind the scenes » look at two staff members, and a look at NOSM’s A Roadmap to 2020, which was publicly launched in January, and maps out exactly how the School will accomplish its goals in its 2015-2020 Strategic Plan.
