VACANCIES AND ELECTIONS – OPEN<\/strong><\/h1>\n

The Academic Council Governance and Nominations Committee is welcoming nominations from Faculty and Learners to fill the following vacancies on the Academic Council:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Human Sciences Division (1 position)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Clinical Sciences Division (2 positions)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Aboriginal Academic (2 positions)*<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Medical Students (2 positions)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Postgraduate Trainees (2 positions)<\/p>\n

*can be from any of the Divisions<\/p>\n

Procedures and Timeline<\/b><\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Nomination Period (February 15- February 29 noon)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Voting Period (if necessary) (Mar 7 – 11 noon)<\/p>\n

\u00b7\u00a0 Election Results – posted when available<\/p>\n

To be eligible candidates shall:<\/b><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 be nominated by one or more members of Academic Council or within their Division;<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 be eligible faculty including both full time and stipendiary faculty from all Divisions<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 be learners registered as full\u00a0\u00bb\u0090time students in good academic standing<\/p>\n

The terms will run for 3 years (July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019) with the exception of Learners and Postgraduate Trainees (2 years (July 1, 2016 – June 30, 2018)<\/p>\n
