Grant Match Funding

The NOAMA Board, with the support of the Physician Clinical Teachers’ Association (PCTA), has designated a portion of the Alternate Funding Plan to a NOAMA Grant Match Fund.

This funding intends to increase the ability of NOSM University PCTA researchers to grow programs of research and attract research dollars from outside of Northern Ontario. NOAMA will provide match funding to qualifying PCTA researchers and research teams who are applying to other research competitions that require applicants to source match funding as a condition of the application.

The NOAMA Grant Match Funding (GMF) is an ongoing competition and the GMF Sub-Committee manages the GMF process and recommends approval of GMF projects to the NOAMA Board. NOAMA invites all AFP participating physicians to submit an application for grant match funding. Learn more here.

2024 CIHR INSTITUTE ADVISORY BOARDS MEMBERSHIP CYCLE
CIHR will soon be launching its 2024 Institute Advisory Board (IAB) membership recruitment campaign. The IABs of CIHR’s Institutes are composed of dedicated volunteer members from Canada and abroad who bring a wealth of experience and expertise, offering valuable perspective on Institute activities and initiatives. This annual recruitment campaign is vital to ensuring the IABs include a diverse group of representatives including those from the health research community to serve as members on the IABs.

The CIHR is committed to the values and principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) across all aspects of the Agency. We strongly encourage applications to the IABs from individuals belonging to Indigenous, Francophone (French as a first language) and equity-denied groups.

Detailed instructions on how to apply are found on CIHR’s website at the following link: 2024 IAB Membership Cycle. The deadline to apply is April 25 2024
