NOTE: NOSM will advise all learners of the COVID restrictions for each placement within the community. This list of restrictions is updated with the most current information provided by our communities and is subject to change. Please continue to keep track of the restrictions within the communities in which your placement is confirmed.
International Travel: (returning or entering into Canada): Please follow the federal guidelines provided by the government of Canada.
For learners applying to visiting clinical placements: In accordance with Directive #6 from the Chief Medical Officer of Health, each teaching site will have their individual vaccination requirements which all learners (including visiting learners) must adhere to prior to their deployment to sites for clinical placements. In some cases, a hospital/teaching site may be asking for “proof of full vaccination or medical exemption”. As such, the Community Relations Unit will collect vaccination status and supporting documentation from all visiting learners during the credentialing process of the application.
