Clinical Learning Liaison, Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology

Cindy Davis-Maille, MCl.Sc.

Cindy completed an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology from Laurentian in 1998, a Masters of Clinical Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Western University in 2001. Cindy is a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist and holds the rank of Lecturer with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine.  In addition to her work at NOSM, Cindy operates a private practice in the District of Timiskaming. Cindy and her family returned to Kirkland Lake following her studies to provide a much needed rehabilitative service to her community.  Cindy and her husband (Dan) are active volunteers in their community, lending a hand when needed.

Myka Riopel, OT Reg. (Ont.)

Myka Riopel OT Reg. (Ont). graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Ottawa in 2008. Since then, her career has been focused in acute care and rehabilitation settings in Ontario and Alberta. She has many years of experience working in the areas of neurology, spinal cord injury, orthopaedics, seating and mobility,  intensive care and general medicine.  She has always been passionate about clinical education and evidenced based practice. After years of being away from home, Myka and her family are excited to have returned to their hometown to enjoy the beauty of the Algoma District. She currently works in acute care at the Sault Area Hospital as well as working in private practice.  Myka provides services in both English and French.

Jamie Trusler, PT, MPT

Jamie completed an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology at The University of Waterloo in 2007 and a Masters in Physical Therapy at Western University in 2010. After graduation he moved to Sudbury and worked privately for 6 years before taking a job in home care. He is currently a registered physiotherapist working for Home and Community Care Support Services Northeast. In his spare time he enjoys playing baseball and golf, and spending time outdoors with my wife and two children.
