Admissions Information Sessions

The Admissions & Learner Recruitment Office runs information sessions for those interested in applying to NOSM University’s Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program.

These sessions are held annually in June/July, in conjunction with the opening of the new admission cycle and provide prospective applicants with an opportunity to learn about the admission requirements and application process.

The 2022 Admissions Information Sessions were conducted virtually via WebEx.

Recordings of each session are now available.


General Admissions Information Session – Tuesday, June 14, 2022 | 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM EST

You should plan to attend this session if you are considering applying to NOSM University. The information presented will be specific to the application for the Fall of 2023. The session will include:

  • A presentation from a current NOSM University medical student about their experience in applying to NOSM University and their insights into what being a NOSM University student is like
  • A presentation from a NOSM University Admissions Officer outlining the requirements for the NOSM University Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program application process for all NOSM University Streams
  • An opportunity to have your application questions answered during the Q & A session following the presentations.

Indigenous Admission Stream Information Session – Wednesday, June 22, 2022 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM EST

You should plan to attend this session if you are considering applying to NOSM University through the Indigenous Admission Stream. The information presented will be specific to the application for the Fall of 2023. The session will include:

  • A very brief general overview of the NOSM University Admissions process
  • A presentation from a NOSM University Admissions Officer outlining the requirements for the NOSM University Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program application process for those applying through the Indigenous Admission Stream
  • A presentation from a current Indigenous NOSM University medical student about their experience in applying to NOSM University through the Indigenous Admission Stream and their insights into what being a NOSM University student is like
  • An opportunity to have your questions about applying through the Indigenous Admission Stream answered during the Q & A session following the presentations.

Francophone Curricular Admission Stream Information Session – Thursday, June 23, 2022 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM EST

You should plan to attend this session if you are considering applying to NOSM University through the Francophone Curricular Admission Stream. The information presented will be specific to the application for the Fall of 2023. The session will include:

  • A very brief general overview of the NOSM University Admissions process
  • A presentation from a NOSM University Admissions Officer outlining the requirements for the NOSM University Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) program application process for those applying through the Indigenous Admission Stream
  • A presentation from the Director of Francophone Affairs about the new integrated learning stream
  • A presentation from a current Francophone NOSM University medical student about their experience in applying to NOSM University and their insights into what being a NOSM University student is like
  • An opportunity to have your questions about applying through the Francophone Curricular Admission Stream answered during the Q & A session following the presentations.
