About the Consortium

The Canadian Oxidative Stress Consortium (COSC) aims to advance research and education in oxidative stress in health and disease. Initiated in July 1999, with support from the Canadian Institute for Health Research, it consists of researchers from 40 labs from 15 universities in Canada. Its goal is to promote research excellence in oxidative stress, foster research collaborations among its members, provide better training opportunities for students and postdoctoral fellows, and to foster closer ties between its members and the pharmaceutical industry.
