This learning resource centre is the result of the vision and hard work of what is more formerly known as the PocketSnips Procedural Skills Project.

A consortium-based initiative involving the public and private sectors, PocketSnips is an interprofessional project that advances continuing medical education and continuing professional development for health professionals throughout northern Ontario—where the project initiated— and beyond.

PocketSnips also makes an important contribution to the field of just-in-time professional development for healthcare providers in that some of the highlighted procedures are infrequently performed. As short and accessible resources, the micro videos that comprise the heart of the project enable clinicians to review and then perform procedures as need dictates.
