NEW Introductory Quality Improvement Program
Looking for knowledge
and skills to help you improve patient care in your health-care team,
organization, or region?
Our new educational program provides an introduction to the
fundamentals of Quality Improvement (QI). Whether you are new to QI or need a
brief refresher—IDEAS will provide you with the skills you need.
- Introductory knowledge and skills in quality improvement principles, methods and tools
- Approximately 12 hours of online and in-person
interactive learning using exercises, case examples and hands-on practice
- Customized for the Northern Ontario health
- Collaborative learning and networking with
colleagues across various disciplines and sectors
By the end of the program, participants will be able to:
the roles health-care professionals fulfill in quality improvement.
an opportunity for improvement to focus efforts on impactful change.
the drivers and barriers to change in a complex health-care system.
and employ appropriate tools and methods for improvement.
standards of effective measurement to assess the degree of success and
basic concepts and approaches around collection and analysis of data for
sources of personal resistance to change as a positive and productive approach
to improving human dynamics.
Who should register
Individuals from across our health system who are
participating or would like to participate in quality improvement projects
related to Ontario’s health system priorities:
- Physicians, nurses, other health care
professionals, administrators, and managers
