College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) Changes (Mainpro+)
The CFPC will soon be moving to a new credit framework for Continuing Education. The will impact CFPC members in the way that they claim credit for completion of Continuing Education as well as enhancing the requirements expected when developing a Mainpro educational activity.
In 2016, Mainpro-M1 and Mainpro-C Accreditation will be replaced with Mainpro+ Certification. Through "Focus On..." newsletters, the CFPC will be offering guidance on the various changes with the Certification process and how planners can best achieve the new standards. As we receive the newsletters, we will be posting them on this page for your reference.

Quoted from the CFPC:
As part of the CFPC’s ongoing commitment to providing quality continuous professional development (CPD), the MAINPRO® program is being enhanced to meet your changing interests and learning requirements. Beginning in 2015, some exciting changes will take place. We call it Mainpro+!
The new Mainpro+ system will be easier and more intuitive to use. New reporting categories will provide opportunities to earn credit for more practice activities, and there will be greater access through your smartphone or tablet. These and other changes are profiled in a brochure and a video. We hope that you will take a couple of minutes to read over the brochure and watch the video as well.
